Click images to enlarge See More Power Cables Boss Pedals: There are two main types of Boss pedal effects, which specify either PSA or ACA type power supplies. Boss pedals specifying the PSA type adapter operate at 9V like most other pedals. Boss pedals which specify the ACA type adapter operate at a higher voltage. The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power is the only universal power supply available which will power any type of Boss pedal effect. There is a selector switch for each DC output on the bottom of the Pedal Power to select the correct voltage. Output numbers 1 thru 4 can be selected for "ACA" type operation. For Boss Twin pedals, use outputs 5 or 6 at the "normal" setting that offers 200mA+ @ 9VDC. An exception would be the RC20 Looper that only draws 80mA so it can use any of the outputs set to "normal". Line6 Pedals: Use any output on the "normal" setting to power Line6 Tone Core compact pedals. Only modeling pedals DL4, MM4, AM4, DM4, and FM4 require outputs 5 or 6 using the Line6 dip switch setting. For the Line6 POD, see Pedal Power AC. Electro Harmonix Holy Grail: In a test by Voodoo Lab, outputs 5 and 6 at the normal setting will power an Electro Harmonix Holy Grail. The EH adapter for that pedal offers 500 mA, and when they asked the folks at EH about it they told VL it draws 300 mA. But in testing one that VL got "off the shelf" at a local shop, it only drew a hair over 200 mA and powered up from output 5 of the PP2+ with no problems. Moogerfooger: Most will operate with a reversed polarity cable using the Pedal Power 2. The MuRF (MF-105, 105B) may not be compatible however we've known clients use those just fine. Keep in mind you may use the AC outlet on the rear of the Pedal Power 2.

Pedal Power 2 Plus 120 VAC (50-60Hz) North American version only.
The best professional and most versatile power supply for your effects! The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus power supply can handle most any situation possible. They come with an assortment of 20" power cables including 6 standard 2.1mm Boss type, 1 mini, 1 battery, 2 Line 6 type power cable and a detachable AC power cord. The Pedal Power 2 is hand made in the U.S.A. and carries a 5-year warranty. We also stock extra cables including all standard cables and many other custom sizes and configurations available. See the cable list here. "I've wrestled with various store-bought and custom-made
power supplies over the years, but this was the first time I was able
to connect everything in minutes and get great results without hum or
profanity" Overview: The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus is a universal power supply for all battery-operated guitar pedal effects. Outputs number 5 and 6 can either power Line 6 modeling pedals, Boss twin pedals such as the DD-20 or other combinations of effects up to the 200mA maximum. Outputs number 7 and 8 have an optional variable voltage "sag" to emulate dying carbon batteries. Like the original Pedal Power, each of its eight outputs are completely isolated, short circuit protected, regulated and highly filtered. There is support for using up to 16 pedals (or more) and for 18 volt pedals using special custom cables. Isolated Outputs: Each output is completely isolated. This means that you won't have any ground loops or interaction between pedals that can cause hum and noise. It also means that unlike other "common ground" power supplies, you can run effects that have both negative and positive grounds without difficulty. Power Cables: We carry a vast selection of both stock and custom power cables to support the Pedal Power series. Stock cables included with the PP2+ are pictured to the left: AC power cable; 9 volt battery clip; 3.5mm mini-plug; 2.5mm Line 6 plug; and six (6) 2.1mm Boss type plugs. A few samples of the many custom cables are pictured here. Please see Custom and Stock Cables for the Pedal Power 2. These include custom lengths, plug types, polarities, extensions, right angles, ground lifted Y-cables, higher voltage summing cables and longer IEC detachable AC power cords. We can also make extra long cables for certain applications. Short Circuit Protection: Each output on the Pedal Power is short-circuit protected. This means that if you have a short in a power cable, or one of your pedals malfunctions, the Pedal Power will temporarily turn off the power to that pedal. All other outputs will continue to function normally and the Pedal Power is not damaged. Toroidal Transformer: Power transformers create an electric field that can cause hum and noise in your effects. Some effects, such as wahs, are particularly susceptible to this. A toroidal transformer has a specially designed core that greatly reduces this electric field. The Pedal Power uses this type of power transformer so that your pedal board is quiet.
